Bruce Smith Appointed as New Board Member of The Highlands at Wyomissing

Bruce G. Smith

Bruce Smith serves as a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for Fulton Bank, focusing on Middle Market relationship opportunities in Eastern, PA.

Most recently, Smith was Central Region President (Berks, Schuylkill and western Montgomery counties) at National Penn Bank, where he also had responsibility for the bank’s company-wide cash management sales, government banking and international groups. He was responsible for the management, growth and development of business and consumer relationships. 

He was also a member of the Company’s Senior Leadership Group, Credit, Credit Policy and Asset Liability committees. Mr. Smith has more than 30 years of commercial banking experience.

Prior to joining National Penn, Smith spent 18 years with Wachovia and predecessor institutions in various commercial leadership positions, with an emphasis on developing and managing Middle Market relationships. He also spent more than six years with the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation, where he was involved in credit management, project financing and bank relations.

Mr. Smith’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in government and an MBA with a concentration in finance from Lehigh University. He is a board member at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, the Berks Business Education Coalition and the Greater Berks Development Fund. He is also a trustee of the Atonement Lutheran Church endowment fund, where he and his wife Sarah have been members for more than 20 years.
