“After leaving Reading Hospital, I was sent to The Highlands' new short-term rehabilitation. I want to express my appreciation for this addition to The Highlands that offers another level of care for residents and the community. My week in rehab was well spent as I found it so convenient to have nursing staff, support staff, physical & occupational therapists, along with service personnel on board. And best of all, every one of those people was supportive, caring and skilled. I would highly recommend The Highlands for short-term rehabilitation. I found the private room and physical setup very pleasing and found the staff very attentive to my needs. We set a goal for being there and being discharged, and we all worked towards this goal. My time there was well spent and provided the assistance I needed to become independent again. I thank you for the foresight to establish this addition to The Highlands.”  

Short-Term Rehabilitation at The Highlands provides rehabilitative services to individuals whose lives have been altered by elective surgery, normal aging, illness or injury. Our goal is to promote functional independence and wellness in a holistic, personalized way. Rehabilitation residents receive personalized care in a dedicated, all private room neighborhood designed to advance outcomes and promote fast recoveries. The rehabilitation setting includes 18 private suites and is complemented by amenities and services more commonly associated with fine resorts.
