Help us Help

When you make a donation or memorial gift to The Highlands, you can be sure it impacts the lives of senior adults in our community.

Our collective purpose and commitment has driven more than 30 years of innovation in senior services.  We are a strong, resilient organization and are more determined than ever to provide a fulfilling lifestyle and quality of life for our seniors of today – and tomorrow.  We believe in the continuous pursuit of excellence and are committed to doing our best no matter what the situation.  Philanthropy is allowing us to continue our push forward, after all, it’s what our residents deserve

Contributions may be made through direct gifts, charitable gift annuities, life insurance designations, and bequests. Since The Highlands is recognized as a charitable organization by the IRS under tax code 501 (c)(3), contributions are tax-deductible as permitted by applicable law.

If you are interested in making a gift to The Highlands at Wyomissing Endowment Fund or any of our other funds listed, please contact Cameron Martin, Vice President of Development and Marketing at 484-220-8508 or martinc@thehighlands.org.

Endowment Fund

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are proud to offer the security of lifelong care for The Highlands at Wyomissing® residents who deplete their financial resources through no fault of their own and are no longer able to meet their monthly living expenses.

Residents are eligible to apply for benevolent care so that they may continue their residency in that community for as long as they choose. We are proud to say that no resident with a continuing care agreement has ever been asked to leave The Highlands at Wyomissing because of an inability to pay when their financial resources have been exhausted through no fault of their own.

Scholarship Fund

In 2019, the Scholarship Fund was established with a mission of providing financial support in the form of scholarships to team members attending a traditional college or university, community college, trade school or seeking to obtain an accredited advanced certificate. Scholarships are awarded every spring for the next academic year in the amount of $1,000 with a goal of awarding 10 each year.

Memorial Gifts

A memorial gift is a special way to remember a loved one who is no longer with us. While furthering the legacy of your loved one you are also helping to provide aging adults with quality care and peace of mind after their resources have been exhausted.

Research and Innovation Fund

In 2021, The Highlands created the Research and Innovation Fund. This fund is intended to accelerate the translation of research to products, services and practices that address the needs and challenges of aging adults. Our commitment to transforming the senior experience is at the forefront of all we do and support of this fund allows us to become an industry leader through research and participation with innovative products and practices.
