Contract Types Comparison

At The Highlands at Wyomissing, you can choose a contract with us that is perfect for you and your future needs. Whether you choose an all-encompassing program, fee-for-service, or somewhere in between, we are here for you during every step of the way.

Comprehensive/Lifecare (Type A)

Type A (Comprehensive/Lifecare) contracts offer housing, services, amenities and, most importantly, unlimited healthcare at the same monthly service fee. Personal Care days provided in a studio accommodation. Nursing Care days provided in a semi-private accommodation.

Modified (Type B)

Type B (Modified) contracts offer housing, services, amenities and limited healthcare. Single occupants receive 60 Personal Care and 60 Nursing Care days/lifetime. Double occupants receive shared 90 Personal Care and 90 Nursing Care days/lifetime. Days are not interchangeable across levels of care. Personal Care days provided in a studio accommodation. Nursing Care days provided in a semi-private accommodation.

For both the Comprehensive/Lifecare (Type A) and Modified (Type B) Entrance Fees amortize over the first 50 months of occupancy at a rate of 2% per month. Any unamortized portion is refunded to the resident or the resident’s estate if the contract is terminated before the first 50 months of occupancy.
