As a sixteen-year-old, I always knew I wanted to work at a job that would allow me to help others and make a difference in people’s lives. I wrote out a list of possible jobs I could see myself doing, and out of everything on my list, The Highlands stood out to me the most because of my passion for helping others.
“After leaving Reading Hospital, I was sent to The Highlands' new short-term rehabilitation. I want to express my appreciation for this addition to The Highlands that offers another level of care for residents and the community. My week in rehab was well spent as I found it so convenient to have nursing staff, support staff, physical & occupational therapists, along with service personnel on board. And best of all, every one of those people was supportive, caring and skilled. I would highly recommend The Highlands for short-term rehabilitation. I found the private room and physical setup very pleasing and found the staff very attentive to my needs. We set a goal for being there and being discharged, and we all worked towards this goal. My time there was well spent and provided the assistance I needed to become independent again. I thank you for the foresight to establish this addition to The Highlands.”
During this COVID-19 crisis, donations to the Jay Rosenson matching grant challenge were made. We would like to share that due to the generosity of Jay Rosenson who matched $1.00 for $1.00 up to $50,000 in support of employees and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) The Highlands raised $121,760.
